Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Pursell, the representative of My Girl Lava, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. My Girl Lava last raced on 17/12/17. Mr. Pursell stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left hind toe injury.
Bar King Buddy and Silvio Dante were slow to begin. Silvio Dante and My Girl Lava collided approaching the first turn, checking My Girl Lava. Miss Judge and Bobby's Baby collided on the first turn. Bobby's Baby and Silvio Dante raced wide on the first turn. Bar King Buddy checked off Free Auto on the second turn. Ice Cold Yug tired over the concluding stages of the event. Bobby's Baby and Silvio Dante collided approaching the winning post.
Ice Cold Yug was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Willcocks, representative of the greyhound Ice Cold Yug, in relation to the greyhound's performance. Mr. Willcocks stated that the greyhound had previously raced and trialled over 520m, howver had not raced before at this track and in his opinion would take experience from tonight's event. Stewards noted the explanation, and while the greyhound tired over the concluding stages, Stewards did not feel the performance warranted a satisfactory trial under GAR 71.
Bobby's Baby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound cramped and sustained spike wounds to the left hind leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to N Kosky, the representative of the greyhound Bobby's Baby. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
