Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Jason Nibbs, the trainer of River Crossing, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. River Crossing last raced on 28 December 2017. Mr Nibbs stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following right hock and shoulder injuries.
Hardaway Outlaw and Jesaulenko were quick to begin. Tiggerlong Boo and Daryl Dixon were slow to begin. River Crossing and Shirley Bass collided soon after the start and several times to the first turn, checking Shirley Bass. Bank Rogue and Jesaulenko collided on the home turn. Jesaulenko and Tiggerlong Boo collided in the home straight
Shirley Bass was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg back muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
