Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Stefano Cassar, the trainer of Caco Potion, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Caco Potion last raced on 19 December 2017. Mr Cassar stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an extended spell.
A pre-race sample was taken from Caco Potion.
Burning House and Quartz Vein were quick to begin. Dyna Terror, Quartz Vein and Burning House collided on the first turn. Percy's Empire checked off Quartz Vein entering the back straight, checking I'm A Princess. Burning House faltered in the back straight and tailed off. Percy's Empire contacted the running rail in the back straight and lost ground. Caco Potion raced wide in the home straight. Quartz Vein and I'm A Princess collided in the home straight.
Percy's Empire was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tail laceration, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Burning House was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg back muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
