Dyna Gabba and Evelyn Allen were slow to begin.  Kracka Barcia and Golden Gem collided soon after the start, checking Golden Gem.  Kracka Barcia and Shannon Allen collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Evelyn Allen and Mickie Raven raced wide in the home straight.

Ollie Buck was slow to begin.  Swell It Is checked off Hit Me Up soon after the start.  Double Ya Back, Hey Duggee and Hit Me Up collided soon after the start, checking Hey Duggee.  Swell It Is and Double Ya Back collided on the first turn, checking Double Ya Back.  Kraken Bam Bam checked off No Fluke approaching the home turn.  Swell It Is and Hit Me Up collided on the home turn and entering the home straight.

Carlanna Casey was slow to begin.  Gats As Promised checked off Oscar De Lonhro soon after the start.  Atomic Kitten crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Oscar De Lonhro.  Ayo Joy and Oscar De Lonhro collided on the first turn.  Gats As Promised and Still In Play collided on the third turn, checking Still In Play.  Go Ekay and Carlanna Casey collided entering the home straight.  Atomic Kitten raced wide in the home straight.

Heartbreak Hermy was slow to begin.  Wicked Pedro, Unlocked, Quizzical and Showtime Mystery collided soon after the start, checking Unlocked and Quizzical.  Jockey Bale and Texas Blaze collided approaching the first turn, checking Texas Blaze.  Texas Blaze and Unlocked collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Don't Quote Me and Destini Cheetah were quick to begin.  Mint Boy and Bombora Thunder were slow to begin.  Quick Finance, Extra Gear, Hector Cabang and Destini Cheetah collided soon after the start, checking Destini Cheetah.  Pop The Trunk and Mint Boy collided on the first turn.  

Stewards spoke to Mr Stefano Cassar, the trainer of Caco Potion, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Caco Potion last raced on 19 December 2017.  Mr Cassar stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an extended spell.

Burning House and Quartz Vein were quick to begin.  Dyna Terror, Quartz Vein and Burning House collided on the first turn.  Percy's Empire checked off Quartz Vein entering the back straight, checking I'm A Princess.  Burning House faltered in the back straight and tailed off.  Percy's Empire contacted the running rail in the back straight and lost ground.  Caco Potion raced wide in the home straight.  Quartz Vein and I'm A Princess collided in the home straight.

Percy's Empire was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tail laceration, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Burning House was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg back muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Rhino Rex and Bolt Power collided soon after the start.  Striker Vardy and Bombora Comet collided approaching the first turn.  Striker Vardy and Fast Izzi collided on the first turn.  Fast Izzi checked off Bombora Comet on the first turn, severely checking both greyhounds.  Bombora Comet raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Redenbach, the trainer of Coolan Flash, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Coolan Flash last raced on 21 December 2017.  Mr Redenbach stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injured right wrist.

Dyna Neitz was slow to begin.  Unmid Bale crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Paraphernalia, Shadale and Kryptonian.  Dyna Neitz checked off Shadale approaching the home turn.  Unmid Bale checked off Aeroplane Bob on the home turn, checking Iceni Skye.  Kryptonian checked off Coolan Flash in the home straight.  Coolan Flash and Shadale collided in the home straight, checking Unmid Bale.

Stewards spoke to Mr Jason Nibbs, the trainer of River Crossing, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  River Crossing last raced on 28 December 2017.  Mr Nibbs stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following right hock and shoulder injuries.

Hardaway Outlaw and Jesaulenko were quick to begin.  Tiggerlong Boo and Daryl Dixon were slow to begin.  River Crossing and Shirley Bass collided soon after the start and several times to the first turn, checking Shirley Bass.  Bank Rogue and Jesaulenko collided on the home turn.  Jesaulenko and Tiggerlong Boo collided in the home straight

You Dance, Brienne and Headspace were quick to begin.  Noonbarra Storm and Brienne collided soon after the start, checking Noonbarra Storm.  Brienne and Luck's Run Out collided approaching the first turn, checking Brienne.  Noonbarra Storm checked off Avatar Minty on the first turn.  On Billy's Wings and Headspace collided on the first turn.  Noonbarra Storm and Avatar Minty collided in the home straight.  Headspace raced wide in the home straight.

Naiqama and Magic Vogue were slow to begin.  Pyrenees Petraca and Racketeer collided soon after the start, checking Pyrenees Petraca.  Fitz Tate and Racketeer collided approaching the first turn, checking Fitz Tate and Pyrenees Petraca.  Racketeer checked off Silent Boloney on the first turn, checking Silent Boloney.  Racketeer and Magic Vogue collided on the home turn.  Racketeer raced wide in the home straight.

Kung Fu Hustle was a late scratching at 10:59 am, due to a foot injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jai Jai Away was slow to begin.  Blackpool Doc, Swift Ruby and Invented collided soon after the start, checking Swift Ruby.  Avatar Sparkle, Dyna Vagrant and Splash Da Cash collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Dyna Vagrant which fell as a result.  Splash Da Cash and Invented collided approaching the home turn.  Invented checked off Jai Jai Away in the home straight.

The 'all clear' was delayed to allow Stewards to view footage of the home straight, as Dyna Vagrant had entered the infield approaching the first turn after falling.  Stewards were satisfied that no greyhound was inconvenienced and the 'all clear' was given.

Dyna Vagrant was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the hock and a right hindleg quadriceps injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
