A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Zelemar Jim, therefore a post race sample was taken.
Cullquin Daario was slow to begin. Monica's Joy and Bro Wizard collided approaching the first turn. Hedonistic, Monica's Joy and Zelemar Jim collided on the first turn. Cullquin Daario checked off Hedonistic on the first turn causing Cullquin Daario and Chill Out Indy to collide checking both greyhounds. Not Enough Cash, Monica's Joy and Zelemar Jim collided on the first turn. Monica's Joy and Zelemar Jim collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn. Bro Wizard and Zelemar Jim collided on the second turn. Zelemar Jim checked off Monica's Joy in the back straight checking Zelemar Jim. Not Enough Cash and Bro Wizard collided approaching the third turn. Chill Out Indy eased approaching the home turn causing Cullquin Daario and Chill Out Indy to collide. Hedonistic checked off Not Enough Cash entering the home straight.
Chill Out Indy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left tendon injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr M. Chilcott, the Trainer of Chill Out Indy. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Chill Out Indy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Chill Out Indy was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
