Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Kraken Mazing.

Brindle Bay and Kraken Mazing collided approaching the first turn checking Brindle Bay.  Kraken Mazing and Buzz Rash collided on the first turn.  Lottie Glenda and Weeona Raph collided on the first turn checking Lottie Glenda.  Weeona Raph and Nash Road Betty collided on the first turn checking Nash Road Betty.  Nash Road Betty eased approaching the second turn.  Kraken Mazing checked off Nash Road Betty in the back straight.  Pop The Trunk raced wide in the back straight.  Brindle Bay brushed the running rail on the home turn.

Nash Road Betty was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 12.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr S. Whyte, Trainer of the greyhound. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Nash Road Betty with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Whyte pleaded not guilty to the charge, Nash Road Betty was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Pop The Trunk, the winner of the event.
