Ava's Dream, Akina Blitz and Grand Devinci were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Akina Blitz. Ava's Dream and Grand Devinci collided approaching the first turn. Ava's Dream and Grand Devinci collided on the first turn checking Dr. Yuki and Grand Devinci. Misty's Boy and Ohana Sparkles collided on the second turn. Ava's Dream and Akina Blitz collided on the second turn. Grand Devinci checked off Akina Blitz on the second turn. Beanology and Wilburn collided in the back straight. Ava's Dream and Dr. Yuki collided in the home straight.
Beanology was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back muscle and left pencil muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
