Dynamic Ross was a late scratching at 5:47pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a laceration to the nostril. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Darren Fisher trainer of Moon Prince regarding the length of time the greyhound had between races. Moon Prince last raced on 5 Jan 2018. Mr Fisher stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an extended spell.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Crawley, the trainer of the greyhound Bushman's Bro.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Mugavin trainer of More Moment regarding the length of time the greyhound had between races. More Moment last raced on 22 Nov 2017. Mr Mugavin stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal spell.

Mr Callum Blake, representative of Umar Allen declared a new weight of 27.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Umar Allen last raced at 29.3kgs.

Stewards spoke to Ms Deborah Coleman trainer of Dark Taboo regarding the length of time the greyhound had between races. Dark Taboo last raced on 17 Jan 2018. Ms Coleman stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennels.

Mister Peanuts was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Fothergill, the trainer of the greyhound Mister Peanuts regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Mister Peanuts with marring. Ms. Fothergill pleaded guilty to the charge, Mister Peanuts was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Re-Vetted Greyhound - Set To Storm was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling and was Cleared to race.
