Lanatis Dream was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left toe, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr P.Abela, the trainer of Rugged, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Rugged last raced on 5 January, 2018. Mr Abela stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a change of kennel.

Iron Fist was vetted after the greyhound fell in the catching pen. It was reported that the greyhound suffered cramping, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Manticore was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right fore limb, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Bosman, Trainer of Manticore. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Manticore with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Bosman pleaded guilty to the charge, Manticore was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

 Meeting Comments:

Fabulous Cash trialled over the 390m from box 3, weight 28.0kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.The time of the trial was 22.55, the greyhound was beaten by 1.75 lengths.  Fabulous Cash was cleared.
