Drama King, Rockin' Bar Lil, Bowie Boy and Lucy Gem collided soon after the start checking Drama King and Rockin' Bar Lil.  Wanjiro, Drama King, Dream Gem and Lucy Gem collided on the first turn checking Lucy Gem, Swift Gem and Bowie Boy severely checking Rockin' Bar Lil which lost considerable ground.  Wanjiro galloped on On The Runway in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

 Psychedelic Jay and Tekeela Too were slow to begin.  Soda Flakes was very slow to begin.  Lully Singh and Tekeela Too collided approaching the first turn checking Lully Singh.  Penny Rocks checked off Tekeela Too on the third turn.

Soda Flakes was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the right wrist and shoulder, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Mizzi, the representative of Soda Flakes regarding the greyhound's performance shortly after boxrise.  Mr. Mizzi stated the greyhound was having it's second start and it's first start in a staying race.  He further stated that the greyhound would improve with race experience as it had trialled well over a staying distance.  Stewards took into consideration the greyhound's performance throughout the event and the fact that the greyhound had made up considerable ground on the field from the second turn to the finish.  Stewards issued a warning to the greyhound regarding it's racing manners soon after the start and took no further action.

Ragged Warrior and Bye Bye Brad were slow to begin.  All Spiced Up, Bye Bye Brad and Joyous Jill collided approaching the first turn checking All Spiced Up.  Select Minister and Aston Halle collided on the first turn checking Aston Halle and Joyous Jill.  All Spiced Up faltered approaching the home turn and subsequently tailed off.  El Diamonte checked off Select Minister on the home turn.

All Spiced Up was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 5,  it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right front leg injury and a left pencil muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Whiney Whine and Jobes Return were slow to begin.  Sale Graze Bindi checked off Charlie Haze approaching the home turn.

A sample was taken from Miss Sweet Pea - the winner of the event.

Lektra Guiseppe and Perrie Lulu were slow to begin.  Rhyan's Return, Apache Flame, Lost Love, Lektra Guiseppe and Flying Cash collided approaching the first turn checking Lost Love.  Apache Flame checked off Rhyan's Return on the first turn.  Apache Flame, Lektra Guiseppe and Flying Cash collided approaching the home turn.

Penny Worth was slow to begin.  Rocky Gee Rocks was very slow to begin (5 lengths).  Champagne Luxe checked off Mepunga Bonnie on the first turn checking Aston Marshall and Rocky Gee Rocks.  Aston Marshall, Rocky Gee Rocks and Penny Worth collided approaching the home turn causing Penny Worth to fall.  Aston Marshall checked off Champagne Luxe entering the home straight.

Penny Worth was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Aston Marshall was vetted after it fell in the catching pen.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the left and right pencil muscles and left and right groin, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Princess Pout and Poor Old Frank were slow to begin.  Dashing Moments checked off Sisso's Joy approaching the first turn.  Dreamy Julian, Our Delta Rose and Dashing Moments collided on the first turn.  Princess Pout and Poor Old Frank collided entering the back straight.  Sisso's Joy and Audacious Poppy collided approaching the second turn checking Audacious Poppy.  Princess Pout, Dreamy Julian and Audacious Poppy collided on the second turn checking Audacious Poppy.  Dreamy Julian and Princess Pout collided approaching the home turn checking Dreamy Julian and Princess Pout and severely checking Poor Old Frank which lost considerable ground.

Our Mojo, Dr. Mortikye, Veetee Mist and Tito Mojito were slow to begin.  Must Have and Our Mojo collided on the first turn.  Lottie Biscotti checked off Tito Mojito on the first turn.  Tito Mojito checked off Dr. Mortikye entering the home straight.

My Logan Leigh, Voluptuous Ruby and What's Up Skip were slow to begin.  Movie Icon checked off Velocity Whisper approaching the first turn.  Okay Pumpkin, Movie Icon, Velocity Whisper, My Logan Leigh collided on the first turn checking Velocity Whisper and Movie Icon and severely checking Voluptuous Ruby and My Logan Leigh; My Logan Leigh stumbled and galloped on Voluptuous Ruby; both greyhounds lost considerable ground as a result.

My Logan Leigh was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have minor soreness in the left and right toes.   No stand down period was imposed.

Voluptuous Ruby was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the left shoulder, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Jake, Zipping Bomber and Heard It Before collided soon after the start.  Takaho Tiger and Aeroplane Tippa collided approaching the first turn checking Takaho Tiger.  Aeroplane Tippa and Projectile collided approaching the winning post.

Projectile was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a puncture wound to the left front foot, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Gestalt Allen, Merchant Prince, Dr. Walter and Kiss Me Putu were slow to begin.  Twenty Tamar and Dargo Dasher collided on the first turn checking Dargo Dasher.  Mac, Dargo Dasher and Dr. Walter collided approaching the home turn.  Twenty Tamar checked off Premier Jess approaching the home turn.

Gestalt Allen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

MEETING COMMENTS :

Satisfactory Trial Results - Zipping Clover trialled over the 440m from box 1, weight 27.3kgs,  the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.03,  the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 13 lengths.  Zipping Clover was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Edna Betts trialled over the 440m from box 3, weight 24.3kgs,  the greyhound failed to finish.  The time of the trial was 25.04.   Edna Betts was Not Cleared.
