Tears In Eyes and Eyes Amazing were slow to begin.  George The Black and Deja Vu Rock collided soon after the start.  Destini Exactor and Samira's Magic collided at the 300m mark.  Samira's Magic and Deja Vu Rock collided approaching the 250m mark, checking Samira's Magic.  Eyes Amazing and Lightning Parade collided at the 150m mark checking both greyhounds, causing Lightning Parade to stumble and lose ground. Destini Extractor checked off Deja Vu Rock at the 100m mark, causing Destini Extractor to stumble and lose ground.

Shae Magnifique and Miss Heart were slow to begin.  Irish Swagger, Ruby's Rosa and Terrigal Tornado collided at the 300m mark.  Ruby's Rosa and Terrigal Tornado collided at the 250m mark.  Irish Swagger and Ruby's Rosa collided at the 200m mark.  Ruby's Rosa checked off Irish Swagger at the 150m mark.  Shae Magnifique galloped on the heels of Irish Swagger approaching the 100m mark, checking both greyhounds.

Stewards spoke to Mrs C. Haigh, the Trainer of News Print regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. News Print last raced on 28 December 2017 and is returning after a spell.

Simply Smarter failed to pursue the lure with due commitment and eased at box rise and was very slow to begin (5 lengths).  Fire Water and Fawn Fresco collided at the 300m mark.  Quick Math crossed to the outside at the 250m mark, checking Gypsy Kiowa and Fawn Fresco.  Quick Math faltered approaching the winning post.

Quick Math was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to J Gorgioski, the trainer of the greyhound Simply Smarter regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start.  Simply Smarter was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Simply Smarter with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  J Gorgioski pleaded guilty to the charge, Simply Smarter was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Fawn Fresco was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left pencil muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Bugs Boloney, Supraspinatus, Coronary Cloud and Tamile Lass collided soon after the start, checking Supraspinatus and Coronary Cloud.  Jakesta, Bugs Boloney and Coronary Cloud collided at the 300m mark.  Tamile Lass checked off Bugs Boloney at the 250m mark.  Coronary Cloud and Tamile Lass collided at the 200m mark.  True Value and Bugs Boloney collided at the 100m mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Westbrook, the representative of Supraspinatus regarding the greyhound not having a catching for this event. Stewards reminded Mr. Westbrook of his responsibilities when engaging a catcher (GAR 48).

Rosacky Thunder and Bourdon An Kahn collided soon after the start.  Two Seasons checked off Bourbon An Kahn at the 300m mark and collided with Cullquin Bomber.  Cullquin Bomber and Oozing Mojo collided at the 200m mark.

Mrs. A. Powell, trainer of Samba King declared a new weight of 32.5 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Samba King last raced at 33.6.

Sleeping Slick was slow to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Kingsley Boy, Lilty Allen and Slick Diamond collided at the 300m mark.  Kingsley Boy checked off Slick Diamond at the 250m mark.  Bolare and Slick Diamond collided at the 200m mark, checking Sleeping Slick and Bolare.  China Catch 'Em checked off Sleeping Slick approaching the winning post.

Blackjack's Back, Johnny's Return, Tzar Norma and Sun Choice collided soon after the start, checking Blackjack's Back.  Tayla's Banjo and Blackjack's Back collided at the 300m mark, checking both greyhounds. Uncatchable and Sun Choice collided at the 200m mark.  Tayla's Banjo and Blackjack's Back collided at the 150m mark and again at the 100m mark, checking both greyhounds.  Johnny's Return and Uncatchable collided approaching the winning post.

Revin Kevin was slow to begin.  Just Nalin and Fire Bright collided soon after the start.  Sisco Yes checked off Frosty Snowman at the 300m mark and collided with Rainbow Parade, Tui and Fire Bright, checking Rainbow Parade, Tui, Fire Bright and Revin Kevin.  Ruby's Boy and Frosty Snowman collided approaching the 250m mark.  Sisco Yes checked off Tui at the 100m mark.

Almani Tee Rex and Micro Midgee collided soon after the start.  Tiger Minstrel crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Karaka.  Almani Tee Rex checked off Micro Midgee at the 300m mark.  Karaka and Tiger Minstrel collided several times from the 300m mark to the 150m mark, checking both greyhounds. 

A sample was taken from Bluey Can Fly - the winner of the event.

Tiger Minstrel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. G. Buchanan, the Trainer of Tiger Mistrel regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Mrs. Buchanan stated that the greyhound was having it's first start and is a very keen railer in trials. Stewards noted Mrs. Buchanan's explantation and issued the greyhound with a warning regarding it's racing manners on this occasion. 

Stewards noted that the seal number for this event was recorded incorrectly on the kennel bay security and seal record sheet. 

Keisha's Boy and Move It were slow to begin.  Adriel and Kimura collided soon after the start.  You Bandit crossed in soon after the start.  Kimura, Starburst Stan and Tory's Rocket collided at the 300m mark. Starburst Stan and You Bandit collided at the 50m mark, checking You Bandit.

Mr. S. Whitney was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card/weight card were produced for the greyhound Sleater pursuant to GAR 33.

Ms. N. Divers, representative of Doorkeeper declared a new weight of 33.9 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Doorkeeper last raced at 32.5.
