Stewards spoke to  Mr. B. Mackie, the trainer of Aeroplane Jet regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Aeroplane Jet last raced on 6th December, 2017.  Mr. Mackie stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.

Voluptuous Dot was quick to begin.  Our Echo Rose and Why Not Loz were slow to begin.  Enzo and Aeroplane Jet collided approaching the first turn.  Krypto Jam, Zipping Bomber and Emilia Magic collided on the first turn checking Zipping Bomber, Enzo and Our Echo Rose and severely checking Aeroplane Jet and Emilia Magic.  Why Not Loz checked off Krypto Jam approaching the home turn.

Emilia Magic was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 3,  it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Where's Lachie, Drama Club and Magic Maya were slow to begin.  Zipping Mulga, Swanny Flyer and Joyous Jill collided approaching the first turn.  El Diamonte crossed in on the first turn checking Swanny Flyer, Voluptuous Ruby and Drama Club and severely checking Where's Lachie and Magic Maya.  Zipping Mulga and Joyous Jill collided in the back straight checking Zipping Mulga.  Voluptuous Ruby and Drama Club collided on the second turn checking Voluptuous Ruby.

Black Shirley, Last Princess and Dr. Poppel were slow to begin.  Dr. Mortikye, Why Not Dom, In The Net and Miss Morrisset collided on the first turn checking In The Net, Placid Warrior and Miss Morrisset.

The start of this race was delayed by 5 minutes due to track maintenance.

Annasay, Charly Shu Shine and Don's Just Under collided soon after the start checking Charly Shu Shine.  Annasay checked off Dr. Eleonora on the first turn.  Don's Just Under and Dr. Eleonora collided on the first turn severely checking Dr. Eleonora and Annasay.

Mr. L. Fitzpatrick, trainer of Dee Dee Kay declared a new weight of 29.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Dee Dee Kay last raced at 30.4kgs.

Dyna Yella was quick to begin.  Aston Liesel, Sisso's Joy and Our Mojo were slow to begin.  Dee Dee Kay and Our Mojo collided on the first turn.  Rip Van Winkle checked off Dyna Yella on the first turn.  Dyna Yella checked off Sisso's Joy approaching the home turn.  Rip Van Winkle checked off Dyna Yella entering the home straight.  Aston Liesel crossed to the outside and marred Rip Van Winkle in the home straight checking both greyhounds

Aston Liesel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Kaltsis, the trainer of the greyhound Aston Liesel regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Aston Liesel with marring.  Mr. Kaltsis pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Liesel was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future  nomination will be accepted,

Clarence Clocka was slow to begin.  Vital Force and Stormy Seas collided soon after the start.  Aston Utah crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Clarence Clocka, Fear The Boss, Captain Universe and Bossino.  Vital Force and Stormy Seas collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Kiss Me Nicki and Vital Force collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Fear The Boss and Bossino collided approaching the winning post.

Trianna and McNeo were slow to begin.  Trianna checked off Quartz Vein on the first turn checking McNeo.  Quartz Vein and Who's Got Class collided on the second turn checking Quartz Vein.  Who's Got Class, Heard It Before and Riviera Cruz collided approaching the home turn checking Heard It Before.

Wadelock Sampson was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left hind foot, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Trianna was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Lonesome Katie was a late scratching at 4:55pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a left hind nailbed infection.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Leopardstown and Aeroplane Bob were slow to begin.  Nitro Hook, White Bandit and Cookie Rose collided on the first turn.  Leopardstown and Flywheel Alfie collided entering the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Doble Estandar trialled over the 440m from box 2, weight 33.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.15, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 11 lengths.  Doble Estandar was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results -  Kokoda Bobby trialled over the 440m from box 7, weight 30.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.15, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4 lengths.  Kokoda Bobby was Cleared.  Kokoda Bobby had its blinkers removed in this trial.

Satisfactory Trial Results -  Rickett's Point trialled over the 440m from box 4, weight 34.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.15,  the greyhound was beaten by a  a margin of 5 lengths.  Rickett's Point was Cleared.
