Lady Mikado and Jacqui Shoshone were quick to begin.  Little Bala was slow to begin.  Little Bala was checked off Dyna Quarter on the first turn.  Lady Mikado, Jacqui Shoshone and Canya Wilber collided on the first turn checking Canya Wilber and severely checking Jacqui Shoshone and So Apparent, So Apparent stumbled and lost ground checking Dyna Quarter and Little Bala.  Little Bala and So Apparent collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Canya Wilber tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Rose Rose crossed in soon after the start checking Belisarius and May Haze.  Memphis Sky was checked off True Talent approaching the first turn.  Serious Bolt and Rose Rose collided approaching the first turn.  Serious Bolt was checked off Rose Rose on the first turn causing Serious Bolt to collide with Belisarius and May Haze checking Belisarius, May Haze raced wide as a result.  Rose Rose and Ringading Sister collided on the first turn checking Ringading Sister.  May Haze galloped on Ringading Sister approaching the home turn checking May Haze which stumbled.  Memphis Sky and Rose Rose collided entering the home straight.  Mahjong Ted tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. D. Selleck the representative of Mahjong Ted regarding the greyhound's performance over the concluding stages.  Mrs. Selleck stated that in her opinion she believed the greyhound did not run a strong 460 metres and will endeavour to keep him to shorter distances in future events.  Stewards noted the explanation and took no further action on this occasion.

Dyna Eroll and Sneak Preview collided soon after the start checking Dyna Eroll.  Sneak Preview crossed in approaching the first turn checking Isen Allen, Dorrigo Bale, Champagne Papi and Dyna Eroll.  Isen Allen, Sneak Preview and Dyna Eroll collided on the first turn checking Dyna Eroll and severely checking Sneak Preview.  Adherent and Twenty Tamar collided on the first turn checking Twenty Tamar.

Invictus Storm and Our Mojo collided soon after the start.  Early Flight and Bossino collided soon after the start checking Bossino and Invictus Storm, Invictus Storm stumbled as a result.  Our Mojo crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Blocka Boy and Invictus Storm and severely checking Early Flight, Miss Dozer and Bossino.  Our Mojo and Creative Moves collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Aston Harpo was vetted following an incident in the catching pen.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
