Steward's Report
Bobby's Baby and Jesaulenko were slow to begin.
Kadalex Kid and Neo Cleo collided soon after the start. Kadalex Kid and Jesaulenko collided soon after the start. Reckoning, Jesaulenko and Why Not Ginger collided on the first turn, checking Why Not Ginger. Reckoning checked off Jesaulenko entering the back straight, checking Why Not Ginger. Oronsay checked off Kadalex Kid on the third turn. Bobby's Baby and Kadalex Kid collided approaching the home turn.
Jesaulenko tired over the concluding stages and was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.
Reckoning was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right eye and a laceration to the left ear. A five-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr P Presutto the trainer of Reckoning regarding the injuries sustained to the greyhound in the event. Stewards advised Mr Presutto that he must seek follow up veterinary treatment for the greyhound within three days and pursuant to GAR 75(2), he must advise the stewards if the injury will have any bearing on the greyhound's performance in the running of future events.
Samples were taken from Monster Fish, the winner of the event, and Reckoning, the second place-getter.
