Double Black checked off Mother Monster  entering the back straight. Pictures To Burn faltered entering the back straight. Flywheel Snowy and Mother Monster collided approaching the second turn. Almani Tee Rex raced wide approaching the home turn.

Pictures To Burn was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left long head triceps (monkey) muscle. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Champagne Luxe.

Champagne Luxe was quick to begin. Black Shirley, Kabiana and Our Echo Rose were slow to begin.

Seaton Star and Kouta And Cream collided soon after the start and again approaching the second turn, severely checking Seaton Star. Seaton Star and Our Echo Rose collided on the second turn.

Pre-race samples were taken from Akina Dee Jay and Fleet Trades. 

Hazelwood Flyer, Mahi Indian and Captain Risky were slow to begin.

New Lass and Akina Dee Jay collided soon after the start. Ruby's Image and Hazelwood Flyer collided soon after the start. Ruby's Image, Hazelwood Flyer and Mahi Indian collided approaching the first turn, checking Ruby's Image. Akina Dee Jay crossed to the outside on the first turn and raced wide, checking New Lass, Maji indian and Hazelwood Flyer. New Lass and Maji Indian collided approaching first turn, checking Mahi Indian. Oh So Nice and Fleet Trades collided on the second turn causing Fleet Trades to stumble. Hazelwood Flyer and Mahi Indian collided entering the back straight. Captain Risky crossed to the outside on the third turn. Akina Dee Jay checked off Captain Risky on the home turn.

Galloping Leo, Brandeen Bayley and Tree Climber Liv collided on the first turn, checking Tree Climber Liv. Wild Angel, Galloping Leo and Mallee Spring collided on the second turn, checking Mallee Spring. Tree Climber Liv and Mallee Spring collided entering the home straight.

A sample was taken from Josie Rumble, the winner of the event.

Maurice Minor and Fast Times were slow to begin.

Angel Dash crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Jackson Benz and McNeo, checking Fast Times. Maurice Minor brushed the running rail on the first turn. McNeo checked off Data Star on the third turn. Fast Times and McNeo collided several times approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Samples were taken from Ice Cool Kaedyn, the winner of the event, and Tuggeragh, the second place-getter.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) parade steward Mr A Cleaven did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Blue Alcatraz was slow to begin.

Spring To Wyn crossed to the inside on the first turn, checking Sparky Neveelk, Shadale,  Henry and One Required. Sparky Neveelk checked off Shadale in the back straight. Sparky Neveelk and Shadale collided approaching the third turn.

Shadale lost ground approaching the home turn and was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right gracilis (back) and long head triceps (monkey) muscles. A 60-day stand down period was imposed.

Samples were taken from Mi Blue Day, the winner of the event, and Spring To Wyn, the second place-getter.

Bobby's Baby and Jesaulenko were slow to begin.

Kadalex Kid and Neo Cleo collided soon after the start. Kadalex Kid and Jesaulenko collided soon after the start. Reckoning, Jesaulenko and Why Not Ginger collided on the first turn, checking Why Not Ginger. Reckoning checked off Jesaulenko entering the back straight, checking Why Not Ginger. Oronsay checked off Kadalex Kid on the third turn. Bobby's Baby and Kadalex Kid collided approaching the home turn.

Jesaulenko tired over the concluding stages and was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.

Reckoning was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right eye and a laceration to the left ear. A five-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr P Presutto the trainer of  Reckoning regarding the injuries sustained to the greyhound in the event. Stewards advised Mr Presutto that he must seek follow up veterinary treatment for the greyhound within three days and pursuant to GAR 75(2), he must advise the stewards if the injury will have any bearing on the greyhound's performance in the running of future events.

Mars Rising, Tito Mojito, Midnight Marzy and Blackjack Neo were slow to begin.

Poke The Bear and Weeona Jimmy collided approaching the first turn, checking Weeona Jimmy and Tito Mojito. Mars Rising contacted the running rail on the first turn. Weeona Jimmy and Midnight Marzy collided several times in the back straight, checking both greyhounds. Poke The Bear checked off Fabregal approaching the third turn. Tito Mojito and Blackjack Neo collided entering the home straight. Mars Rising, Tito Mojito and Blackjack Neo collided in the home straight.

Dr Paulina was a late scratching at 3:11pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28-day stand down period was imposed.

Omega Bonner was quick to begin. Flywheel Strike and Dr. Walter were slow to begin. Dr. Flannigan was very slow to begin (3L).

Omega Bonner and Soda Storm collided on the first turn, checking Soda Storm. Soda Storm and Flywheel Strike collided entering the back straight, checking Flywheel Strike, Dr. Walter and Soda Storm. Flywheel Strike and Dr. Walter collided in the back straight.

Le Doyen was quick to begin. Lucas Rose and Dr. Summer were slow to begin.

Our Charlie Rose, Milla Rose, Apila Moola, Busta Voe, Lucas Rose and Dr. Summer collided on the first turn, checking Apila Moola, Phil's In Luck and Busta Voe. Our Charlie Rose, Milla Rose and Lucas Rose collided in the back straight. Apila Moola checked off Busta Voe approaching the second turn. Le Doyen, Milla Rose and Our Charlie Rose collided approaching the home turn. Our Charlie Rose, Milla Rose and Le Doyen collided entering the home straight and again approaching the winning post, checking Le Doyen.

Phillip Keeping was slow to begin.

Rip Van Winkle and Bronelly Buster collided soon after the start, checking Nitro Hook. Bronelly Buster crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Bronelly Buster, Mister Brown and Rip Van Winkle and severely checking Phillip Keeping and Eduardo Rose which checked Nitro Hook as a result.

Zipping Tina was a late scratching at 5:08pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Gary McMillan was fined the sum of $100.

Stewards spoke to Mr Gary McMillan, the trainer of Aremac Igor, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Aremac Igor last raced on 16 October 2017 and is returning from an injury to the left fibula. Mr McMillan also declared a new weight of 34.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Armec Igor last raced at 32.5kg.

Simbarea and Aremac Igor were slow to begin.

Eagle Princess crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Five Lights, Aremac Igor, Itz Hooroo Adios, Dr. Luvdisc and Simbarea. Dr. Luvdisc and Aremac Igor collided on the first turn. Dr. Luvdisc crossed to the outside approaching the home turn, checking Aremac Igor. Dr. Luvdisc and Itz Hooroo Adios raced wide in the home straight.
