Steward's Report
Stewards were advised that the track was top dressed, harrowed and graded on Thursday 28 December 2017.
Broken Axle and Pyrenees Classic were slow to begin.
Gold Crusher and Akut collided approaching the first turn, checking Gold Crusher. Shore Money checked off Cherokee Thunder on the first turn. Broken Axle, Regal Memphis and Cherokee Thunder collided on the first turn, checking Regal Memphis, Akut and Pyrenees Classic, and severely checking Shore Money. Regal Memphis and Akut collided on the home turn, checking both greyhounds.
Shore Money was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tarsal sprain to the left hock. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Broken Axle, the winner of the event.
