Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Paul McColl, the trainer of Spa Vulpix, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Spa Vulpix last raced on 23rd July 2017. Mr McColl stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a spell. Mr McColl also declared a new weight of 28.2 kg weight for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Spa Vulpix last raced at 26.8 kg.
Stewards spoke to Mr Aaron Setford, the trainer of Maretto, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Maretto last raced on 5th September 2017. Mr Setford stated the greyhound was returning to racing after a spell.
Star Cluster and Why Not Dean were slow to begin.
Rhino Rex, Spa Vulpix, Star Cluster and Dynamo Jezz collided soon after the start. Aeroplane Hank and Rhino Rex collided approaching the first turn, checking Aeroplane Hank. Aeroplane Hank and Star Cluster collided approaching the home turn. Dynamo Jezz and Spa Vulpix collided on the home turn. Rhino Rex and Bomber's Return collided entering the home straight and several times in the home straight.
