When questioned regarding the performance of Cloverlay, trainer Mr. L. Rowe advised stewards that in his opinion the greyhound was not suited by the increased distance and grade of tonight's event. Stewards noted the explanation.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Natural Rhythm trialled over the 450m from box 2, weight 26.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.29, the greyhound won by a margin of 7 1/2 lengths. Natural Rhythm was cleared.
