The start of this event was slightly delayed to hold for the completion of a South Australian harness race.
Lost Love and Paua To Load were quick to begin. Mahlo Blackhawk, Hyperactive and Coco Spectre were slow to begin.
Hyperactive and Coco Spectre collided soon after the start. Roaming Rampage, Mahlo Blackhawk, Tiggerlong Boom and Coco Spectre collided on the first turn. Lektra Stomp checked off Paua To Load on the first turn. Coco Spectre and Lektra Stomp raced tightly and collided several times approaching the home turn.
