Steward's Report
Prior to the running of this event the ambient outside temperature was 20.2 degrees. The kennel temperature was 20.4 degrees.
Unmid Bale and Showtime Mystery were quick to begin. Storm Search was slow to begin.
Lektra Blicavs and Bruce Tycoon collided soon after the start. Allen Quintus checked off Unmid Bale on the first turn. Storm Search galloped on Bruce Tycoon approaching the home turn. Lektra Blicavs checked off Bruce Tycoon approaching the home turn. Pippy Dippy checked off Showtime Mystery on the home turn. Bruce Tycoon checked off Pippy Dippy and collided with Storm Search on the home turn. Pippy Dippy, Storm Search and Bruce Tycoon raced wide on the home turn. Showtime Mystery shifted out and raced ungenerously in the home straight.
Showtime Mystery was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Ms Kristine Collyer, the trainer of Showtime Mystery regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
The All Clear was delayed to enable stewards to review the race footage after a seagull was observed to take flight, in front of the field, in the home straight. Stewards were satisfied that no greyhound had been affected by such incident and the all clear was subsequently given.
