The vehicles used by participants for the transportation of greyhounds to todays race meeting were checked by GRV Stewards for compliance with the GRV Transport Policy for Hot Weather. All vehicles and trailers that were used for such purpose, were compliant.

Bolton Blue and Menzali collided soon after the start causing Menzali to stumble and lose ground.  Menzali galloped on Dyna Xervo and collided with Varuchi Pass soon after the start.  Nicky Neo and Dyna Xervo collided soon after the start.  Bolton Blue and Dyna Xervo collided on the first turn.  Varuchi Pass and Xava Allen collided on the first turn.  Bolton Blue checked off Xava Allen and collided with Dyna Xervo on the first turn.  Nicky Neo and Varuchi Pass collided on the second turn.  Menzali checked off Nicky Neo in the back straight checking Menzali.  Menzali checked off Xava Allen and collided with Bolton Blue on the third turn.  Varuchi Pass checked off Nicky Neo on the third turn.  Menzali galloped on Varuchi Pass approaching the home turn checking Varuchi Pass which stumbled and lost ground.  Dyna Xervo and Xava Allen collided approaching the home turn. 

Traner Mr Rob Neocleous was questioned as to his greyhound trailer not being air-conditioned. Mr Neocleous confirmed that his two greyhounds were both transported in his air-conditioned vehicle (car) and that he was fully aware of his obligations to this effect. After personally examining the said vehicle, the Stewards were satisfied that the GRV Transport Policy was adhered to and as such, no further action was taken or required.

Crackerjack Daza and Give Away King collided soon after the start.  Coco Spectre and Counting Pennies collided on the first turn.  Crackerjack Daza and Give Away King collided several times on the first turn.  Coco Spectre and Sable Sass collided several times on the first turn.  Gestalt Allen and Crackerjack Daza collided on the first turn.  Gestalt Allen checked off Crackerjack Daza on the first turn Daza and collided heavily with Give Away King checking both greyhounds.  Crackerjack Daza checked off Counting Pennies on the second turn.  Gestalt Allen and Give Away King collided several times on the second turn.  Gestalt Allen faded approaching the home turn.  

Gestalt Allen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hip and right deltoid injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Give away King was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Azkaban and Celestial Folk collided soon after the start.  Steve Keeping checked off on the first turn and inconvenienced Azkaban, Celestial Folk and Ok Jake.  Ok Jake raced wide approaching the second turn and again on the second turn.  Cryer's Plugger faded in the back straight.

Rostered On checked off Rebecca Bale on the first turn.  Miss Judge, Super Sook and Zipping Maisy collided on the first turn.  Zipping Maisy checked off Rostered On on the first turn.  Blackjack Neo shifted out, raced ungenerously and collided with Zipping Maisy on the first turn.  Super Sook and Rostered On on the second turn.  Kalani Klare checked off Rebecca Bale on the third turn.  Kalani Klare and Blackjack Neo collided on the home turn.

Blackjack Neo was vetted and re-vetted following event 6.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right deltoid and left hip injuries, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr R. Neocleous, the trainer of Blackjack Neo regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.

The track surface was inspected where Thirty Talks faltered approaching the 715mtrs starting boxes.  The track was deemed safe and fit for racing.
