Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Garry Johnson, the trainer of Hugh Made Who regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Hugh Made Who last raced on 9 July 2017. Mr Johnson stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell.
A pre-race sample was taken from Duke Of Dallas.
Heavy Pockets and Dodge The Storm were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.
Heavy Pockets, Dodge The Storm and Swift Spur collided several times approaching the 250m mark through to the 200m mark, checking Heavy Pockets and Swift Spur. Heavy Pockets and Dodge The Storm collided several times between the 200m mark and the 50m mark. Hugh Made Who and Duke Of Dallas collided approaching the 100m mark. Dodge The Storm checked off Heavy Pockets approaching the winning post.
MEETING COMMENTS
Satisfactory Trial Results - Nangar Tiger trialled over the 300m from box one, weight 32.8kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 16.92, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.5L. Nangar Tiger was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Bernie Ender, the trainer of Renegade, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Renegade last raced on 31 March 2017. Mr Ender stated that the greyhound had sustained torn back muscles. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Renegade trialled over the 300m from box five, weight 33.6kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four. The time of the trial was 16.92, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6.25L. Renegade was cleared.
