Steward's Report
Track Manager Corey Hiscock advised that the track was medium harrowed on Sunday 8 October 2017.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6), lure driver Mr B Chilcott did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Birr, La Bella Riot and Dynamo Jezz were quick to begin. Reign Of Omar was slow to begin.
Reign Of Omar checked off the heels of La Bella Riot soon after the start. Blue Berty and Puppet You Rippa collided soon after the start. La Bella Riot and Dynamo Jezz collided soon after the start. Blue Berty and Puppet You Rippa collided approaching the first turn. Birr checked off the heels of La Bella Riot on the first turn and collided with Puppet You Rippa, checking Dyna Beryl. Dynamo Jezz and Blue Berty collided on the first turn. Dynamo Jezz checked off the heels of Dyna Beryl on the first turn. Birr and Puppet You Rippa collided on the second turn. La Bella Riot and Reign Of Omar collided on the third turn. Birr checked off the heels of Puppet You Rippa on the third turn. Dynamo Jezz and Blue Berty collided approaching the home turn. Stewards spoke to Ms Julie Chilcott, the trainer of the greyhound Blue Berty, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Blue Berty was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left shoulder muscle, a five-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Blue Berty with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Blue Berty was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
