Steward's Report

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6), lure driver Mr B Chilcott did not act in any official capacity for this event.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Henley Bale, engaged in this event, on Tuesday 10 October, pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre-race sample was taken from Paula's Delight.

Zero Whispers and Paula's Delight were quick to begin. Good Humour was slow to begin.

Henley Bale was held up approaching the home turn. Tat Ashleigh and Good Humour collided on the home turn. Tat Ashleigh veered in and marred Paula's Delight on the home turn and in the home straight.

Tat Ashleigh was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right biceps femoris (thigh) and tensor fascia (triangle) muscles. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Phillip Clark, the trainer of the greyhound Tat Ashleigh, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Tat Ashleigh with marring. Mr Clark pleaded guilty to the charge, Tat Ashleigh was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
