Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Iona Whiteflash.
Osaka Bale was quick to begin.
Cool Milo, Night Prancer and Iona Whiteflash collided soon after the start checking Iona Whiteflash. Row Tay Tom and Allen Punter collided soon after the start. Cool Milo faltered on the first turn and tailed off. Night Prancer checked off Pacific Dreamer on the first turn. Iona Whiteflash and Allen Punter collided on the first turn checking Allen Punter and again approaching the home turn again checking Allen Punter and again entering the home straight checking Iona Whiteflash.
Cool Milo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Allen Punter was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Campbell the representative of Allen Punter after performing below market expectations. Mr Campbell stated that the greyhound suffered significant interference throughout the event. Stewards noted and accepted his explanation and ordered that a sample be taken from the greyhound.
