Taylor Taylor was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. S. Trim the trainer of the greyhound Taylor Taylor.  Stewards deemed the performance of Taylor Taylor unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that Taylor Taylor must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.

Six Heights was quick to begin.  Mella Moo was slow to begin.  Able Bess, Little Mischa and Mella Moo collided approaching the first turn checking Little Mischa.  Mella Moo crossed to the outside on the first turn.  Able Bess and Six Heights collided approaching the home turn checking Six Heights.  Crystal Shell and Peninsula Lady collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Mella Moo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a suspected fracture of the right hock, a 60 day stand down period was imposed. Mr. G. Mcmillan was advised that he must seek follow up veterinary treatment for the greyhound tomorrow.

Magic Maldini was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have the thumps.  No stand down period was imposed.

Acting on a telephone call from Ms. J. Belsham, Iggy Wiggy was a late scratching at 1:13pm due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Barnard, the trainer of Kruzin' Cripps regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Kruzin' Cripps last raced on 8/6/2017. Ms.Barnard stated that the greyhound is returning from a left wrist injury.

Shogun Sammy was quick to begin.  In A Pickle and Kruzin' Cripps collided soon after the start.  Swift Damian was checked off Kev's Choice approaching the first turn.  First Target, Simbarea and Paddy's Cripp collided approaching the first turn checking Simbarea and Paddy's Cripp.  Kev's Choice was checked off Shogun Sammy on the first turn checking Kev's Choice, First Target was checked as a result.  In A Pickle and Kruzin' Cripps collided on the first turn. Paddy's Cripp and Kruzin' Cripps raced wide on the first turn.  First Target and In A Pickle collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  First Target and In A Pickle collided several times from the home turn to entering the home straight.

Summer Kate trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 29.8kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.44 secs, the greyound was beaten by a margin of 2.25 lengths.  Summer Kate was cleared.
