Stewards issued a warning to Mr. D. Chapman, the trainer of Shady Buck regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn and entering the home straight. Mr. Chapman stated that the greyhound likes to run wide and that he believed the greyhound on the outside (Loch Eddie) was crossing in to the rail. Stewards considered Mr Chapmans explanation and issued a warning.

Rusta was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right deltoid and both saddle muscles, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Boyce, the trainer of the greyhound Rusta regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Rusta with marring. Mr. Boyce pleaded guilty to the charge, Rusta was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
