A pre-race sample was taken from He's Loaded.
Landon was quick to begin. Manhattan Man and She's Got Grace collided soon after the start. Manhattan Man and She's Got Grace collided approaching the first turn, checking Manhattan Man. Giroud and Boozetown Hound collided on the first turn. Boozetown Hound galloped on the heels of She's Got Grace on the first turn. Giroud and She's Got Grace collided on the first turn. Landon and He's Loaded collided on the first turn. Giroud and She's Got Grace collided approaching the home turn. Bageera checked off the heels of He's Loaded and collided with Landon on the home turn.
Following the event the judges inadvertently semaphored the incorrect numbers (7,3,1) before quickly correcting this to 7,3,8,1 and the all clear was given.
