Stewards spoke to Mr B.Divirgilio, the handler of Cosmic Therapy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Cosmic Therapy last raced on 16 April, 2017. Mr Divirgilio stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a left wrist injury.

Oriental Binga was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right calf muscle. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
