Steward's Report
Pre-race samples were taken from Mister Blue and Little Pookie.
Pingu checked off Little Pookie soon after the start. Pingu checked off Coopnarcha approaching the first turn, checking Pingu. Bellachino checked off Fiery Miss approaching the first turn. Sublime Sull checked off Mister Blue on the first turn, checking Little Pookie. Fiery Miss and Mister Blue collided on the home turn, checking Bellachino and Little Pookie, and severely checking Mister Blue as a result. Fiery Miss, Bellachino, Pingu and Little Pookie collided in the home straight, checking Fiery Miss and Bellachino. Sublime Sull and Coopnarcha collided approaching the winning post.
Mister Blue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing in the left hind foot. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr J. Loverso, the kennel representative for Carla Zeus, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Carla Zeus last raced on 1 March 2017. Mr Loverso stated that the greyhound had been on an extended spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Carla Zeus trialled over the 450m from box one, weight 28.6kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 25.51, the greyhound won by a margin of 9.25L. Carla Zeus was cleared.
