Steward's Report
Dyna Zad was slow to begin. Champage Papi, Toss The Dice, No Passengers and Mahjong Ted collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Aston Ando hit the running rail on the first turn causing New Lass and Aston Ando to collide as a result. Kokoda Bobby eased and failed to pursue the lure entering the home straight. Aston Ando crossed to the rail entering the home straight causing New Lass to clip the heels of Aston Ando.
Aston Ando was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Mahjong Ted was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left sesamoid, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. E. Johannsen the representative for Kokoda Bobby regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Kokoda Bobby was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that the greyhound sustained injured chest muscles, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Kokoda Bobby with failing to pursue the lure with due committment by reason of injury. Mrs. Johannsen pleaded guilty to the charge, Kokoda Bobby was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
