Tarika Tara was a late scratching at 2.58pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Seaton Star was quick to begin.  Cronk and Loaded were slow to begin.  Trey Bit and Zero Five collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Cronk brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Zero Five and Cronk collided on the home turn.

Dark Taboo was quick to begin.  Wharfies Girl and Spring Rain were slow to begin.  Miss Fab galloped on Paisley approaching the first turn severely checking Paisley and checking Miss Fab and Wharfies Girl.  Wharfies Girl was checked off Miss Fab on the first turn.

Paisley was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound under the right foot, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Dyna Zad was slow to begin.  Champage Papi, Toss The Dice, No Passengers and Mahjong Ted collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds.  Aston Ando hit the running rail on the first turn causing New Lass and Aston Ando to collide as a result.  Kokoda Bobby eased and failed to pursue the lure entering the home straight.  Aston Ando crossed to the rail entering the home straight causing New Lass to clip the heels of Aston Ando.

Aston Ando was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Mahjong Ted was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left sesamoid, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. E. Johannsen the representative for Kokoda Bobby regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight.  Kokoda Bobby was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that the greyhound sustained injured chest muscles, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Kokoda Bobby with failing to pursue the lure with due committment by reason of injury.  Mrs. Johannsen pleaded guilty to the charge, Kokoda Bobby was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Lord Flash Heart 

Aston Bolt was quick to begin.  Mahi Indian, Flying Storm, Zoobie and Renaldo were slow to begin.  Mahi Indian, Flying Storm and Zoobie collided soon after the start checking Mahi Indian.  Lord Flash Heart, Wot Price Slick and Flying Storm collided approaching the first turn checking Wot Price Slick.  Mahi Indian, Wot Price Slick, Flying Storm and Zoobie collided on the first turn severely checking Flying Storm, Wot Price Slick and Renaldo causing Wot Price Slick to fall, Flying Storm faltered and tailed off.  Zoobie was checked off Cambo's Cindy approaching the home turn.  Zoobie and Cambo's Cindy collided on the home turn.

Flying Storm was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Wot Price Slick was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right radius/ulna and was humanely euthanased.

Lord Flash Heart was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 6.  it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Baker the trainer of the greyhound Lord Flash Heart.  Stewards deemed the performance of Lord Flash Heart unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71Stewards directed that Lord Flash Heart must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was unable to be obtained from Secret Message earlier today, a pre-race sample was subsequently taken.

Merchant Prince was quick to begin.  Secret Message, Jakesta, Charly Shu Shine and Astrology were slow to begin.  Charly Shu Shine and Astrology collided approaching the first turn checking Astrology.  Trickster's Son and Dr. Cadenza collided approaching the home turn.  Trickster's Son raced wide on the home turn.  Charly Shu Shine raced wide entering the home straight.

Mallee Spring and Diamond were slow to begin.  Kiera Bale and Mallee Spring collided soon after the start checking Mallee Spring.  Boycey Road and Kiera Bale collided on the first turn checking Kiera Bale.  Mallee Spring and Boycey Road collided on the first turn checking Mallee Spring.  Dr. Sherlock and Mallee Spring collided on the home turn.

Kiera Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was unable to be obtained from Shining Opal earlier today, a pre-race sample was subsequently taken.

Shining Opal and Nitro Swagger collided soon after the start.  Bera Na Liva was checked off Nitro Swagger soon after the start.  Bera Na Liva and Siver Lightning collided approaching the home turn severely checking Siver Lightning.  Shining Opal raced wide in the home straight.  It's My Secret eased and failed to pursue the lure approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. E. Dowsey the trainer of It's My Secret regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.   It's My Secret was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 9, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left sesamoid and left elbow, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged It's My Secret with failing to pursue the lure with due committment by reason of injury.  Mr. Dowsey pleaded guilty to the charge, It's My Secret was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Gough the trainer of Cheeky Cricket regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Cheeky Cricket last raced on 18/07/17.  Mrs. Gough stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.  Mrs. Gough declared a new weight of 30.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Cheeky Cricket last raced at 29.4kg.

Shades Of Earl was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Cheeky Cricket and Minka's Destiny collided approaching the first turn checking Minka's Destiny.  Cheeky Cricket and Bling Worthy collided approaching the home turn checking Bling Worthy.  Minka's Destiny, Bling Worthy and Jinx collided approaching the home turn checking Bling Worthy.
