Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. I. Anderson, the trainer of Stealthy Flight, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Stealthy Flight last raced on 12th June 2017. Mr. Anderson stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a change of ownership and change of kennels. Mr. Anderson also declared a new weight of 28.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Stealthy Flight last raced at 27.4kgs.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Galea, representing the trainer Mrs. D. Galea regarding the late scratching of the greyhound Last Of Sisco. Stewards charged Mrs. D. Galea under GAR 86(o) in that she failed to present the greyhound Last Of Sisco for racing which in the opinion of Stewards was negligent. Mr. J. Galea pleaded guilty to the charge on behalf of Mrs. Galea. Mrs. D. Galea was found guilty and fined the sum of $250.
Royal Welsh was quick to begin. Dragonstone was slow to begin. Stealthy Flight and Love Laughing collided approaching the first turn. Go Saints and Dragonstone collided approaching the first turn. Go Saints and Stealthy Flight collided on the first turn. Dragonstone and Raven Joe collided on the first turn checking Raven Joe.
