Steward's Report
Mr Jeffrey Guy, trainer of Kryptonian, declared a new weight of 31.5 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Kryptonian last raced at 30.2 kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Ming Men Shen.
Just Banji, Big Lebowski and Ming Men Shen were slow to begin. Tiger Bite Turbo, Kryptonian, Red Hot Millie and Allen Eamon collided soon after the start, checking Red Hot Millie. Kryptonian crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Sisco Sizzle and Red Hot Millie. Big Lebowski checked off the heels of Red Hot Millie on the first turn. Kryptonian checked off the heels of Tiger Bite Turbo on the first turn, checking Sisco Sizzle. Red Hot Millie raced wide approaching the home turn and on the home turn.
Meeting Comments:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms Jeanette Spruyt, the trainer of Unicorn regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Unicorn last raced on 8 March 2017. Ms Spruyt stated that the greyhound was resuming from an extended spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Unicorn trialled over the 410m from box one, weight 31.0 kgs, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 23:85, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12 lengths. Unicorn was Cleared.
