Joyous was quick to begin.  Bombora Comet, On Billy's Wings and To The Galo's collided soon after the start, checking Bombora Comet.  To The Galo's and Tiarna Keeping collided approaching the first turn.  White Bandit, On Billy's Wings, To The Galo's and Bombora Comet collided on the first turn, checking all greyhounds.  White Bandit and On Billy's Wings collided approaching the home turn.  To The Galo's checked off the heels of On Billy's Wings in the home straight.  To The Galo'schecked off the heels of White Bandit  in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr Dustin Drew, the handler of the greyhound Saint Flynn regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Saint Flynn with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Drew pleaded guilty to the charge, Saint Flynn was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Iceni Crusader, Chief Mingo, Bank Rogue and Kokoda Dreamin' collided approaching the first turn, checking Chief Mingo, Iceni Crusader and Allen Optic.

Magic Shianne was quick to begin.  Snoop Junior, Miss Gypsy Lee, Star Desire, Solar Mocha and Osanna collided approaching the first turn, checking Amigo One, Star Desire and Solar Mocha.  Solar Mocha checked off the heels of Amigo One on the first turn.  Miss Gypsy Lee and Amigo One collided in the home straight.  Magic Shianne checked off the heels of Snoop Junior approaching the winning post.

Solar Mocha was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hindleg toe collateral ligament rupture and lacerations to the P2, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr Jeffrey Guy, trainer of Kryptonian, declared a new weight of 31.5 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Kryptonian last raced at 30.2 kgs.

Just Banji, Big Lebowski and Ming Men Shen were slow to begin.  Tiger Bite Turbo, Kryptonian, Red Hot Millie and Allen Eamon collided soon after the start, checking Red Hot Millie.  Kryptonian crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Sisco Sizzle and Red Hot Millie.  Big Lebowski checked off the heels of Red Hot Millie on the first turn.  Kryptonian checked off the heels of Tiger Bite Turbo on the first turn, checking Sisco Sizzle.  Red Hot Millie raced wide approaching the home turn and on the home turn.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms Jeanette Spruyt, the trainer of Unicorn regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Unicorn last raced on 8 March 2017.  Ms Spruyt stated that the greyhound was resuming from an extended spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Unicorn trialled over the 410m from box one, weight 31.0 kgs, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 23:85, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12 lengths.  Unicorn was Cleared.
