All You Got and Stealthy Mover collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Groovy Sweet and Sharp Missile collided approaching the first turn.  Groovy Sweet, Sharp Missile and Maximum Jan collided on the first turn checking Maximum Jan, Sharp Missile, Knuckle Biter and Stealthy Mover.  Stealthy Mover checked off Knuckle Biter approaching the home turn.  Stealthy Mover galloped on Knuckle Biter on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Still Quick was a late scratching at 9:11am, Stewards permission (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  

Staunch as was quick to begin.  Aoife and Blue Magoo were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.

Velocity Alaina, Downing Street and Ice Cold Yug collided approaching the first turn.  Hot Tip checked off Staunch as on the first turn and raced wide.  Blue Magoo checked off Aoife approaching the third turn.  Hot Tip checked off Velocity Alaina approaching the home turn.  Blue Magoo and Ice Cold Yug collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  

Blue Magoo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind metatarsal abrasion, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Ice Cold Yug was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion above the left hock, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Staunch As - winner of the event.

Riclesky was slow to begin.

Tippa Power and Crackerjack Tim collided soon after the start.  Crackerjak Tim checked off My Names Chelsea approaching the first turn checking Riclesky.  My Names Chelsea checked off Tallinn Power on the first turn.  Porscha's Girl, Tippa Power and Tallinn power collided on the first turn checking Porscha's Girl and severely checking Tippa Power which lost ground.  Khaleesi Girl and My Names Chelsea collided on the first turn checking Khaleesi Girl and Koitsenko.  Crackerjack Tim checked off Riclesky approaching the home turn and raced wide.  Khaleesi Girl and My Names Chelsea collided on the home turn checking My Names Chelsea, Koitsenko and Riclesky.

Impala was quick to begin.

Bugatti Extreme, Zipping Mulga and High Tenacity collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Zipping Mulga and High Tenacity.  Bekim Instinct and Shall She Cindy collided on the first turn checking Bekim Instinct, Shall She Cindy, Maximum Gift and Zipping Mulga.  Bugatti Extreme and High Tenacity collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn.  Bliss Street contacted the running rail on the home turn and became unbalanced.  Bugatti Extreme marred Bliss Street in the home straight.

Bliss Street was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle and left triangle injuries, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Bugatti Extreme was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mrs D. Dean, the trainer of the greyhound Bugatti Extreme regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Bugatti Extreme with marring. Mrs Dean pleaded guilty to the charge, Bugatti Extreme was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Deano's Smidge was a late scratching at 9:49am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Bugatti Quest and Temujin were slow to begin.

Magenta Gold raced wide in the back straight checking Mr. Pendles and Bugatti Quest.  Nareen and Magenta Gold collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Rodeo and Stirling Defence were slow to begin.

Tobacco Leaf and Rocky Gee Rocks collided soon after the start.  Stirling Defence crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Bont's Magic, Rodeo, Dead Eye Dickson and severely checking Rocky Gee Rocks, Tobacco Leaf fell as a result.  Dead Eye Dickson raced wide approaching the third turn.

Rocky Gee Rocks was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hock abrasion and bruising, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Tobacco Leaf was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind abrasion, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Stirling Defence - winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Marion Boyle, after she failed to catch the greyhound Rodeo in this event. After verifying Ms. Boyle’s explanation, Stewards took no further action.

Wendy Can't Run, Take The Rapid, Scooby Boy and Call Me Matt were slow to begin.  Wendy Can't Run and Take The Rapid collided soon after the start checking Take The Rapid.  Wendy Can't Run and Call Me Matt collided on the second turn and again entering the back straight checking Call Me Matt and severely checking Wendy Can't Run.  Why Not Dawn and Scooby Boy collided approaching the third turn checking Why Not Dawn.  Why Not Dawn and Scooby Boy collided on the home turn.  Come On Colour and Kiprotich collided entering the home straight.

Galloping Fantom was quick to begin.  Brandeen Plugger was slow to begin.

Galloping Fantom and Doc's Reward collided approaching the first turn checking Doc's Reward.  Galloping Fantom, Newfire Drewie and Blue Reef collided on the first turn checking Blue Reef, Newfire Drewie, Doc's Reward, Brandeen Plugger and Sacred Diamond.  Blue Reef checked off Newfire Drewie on the home turn.  Doc's Reward and Sacred Diamond collided on the home turn.

Really Magic was a late scratching at 9:43am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Melissa Payne, Trainer of Riverside Kim declared a new weight of 28.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Riverside Kim last raced at 26.4kg.

Yangtze and Lady Alliance collided approaching the first turn checking Lady Alliance which stumbled.  Yangtze and Crickets Dash collided approaching the first turn.  Yangtze contacted the running rail on the first turn severely checking itself.  

Yangtze was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury and a spike wound to the left foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Noreen Petts, Representative of Tom's Gift declared a new weight of 36.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tom's Gift last raced at 38.0kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Burns, the trainer of Hunter's Hero regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Hunter's Hero last raced on 18 July 2017 and is returning from a right elbow injury.

Spot Of Magic, Tom's Gift, Hunter's Hero and My Names Schultz were slow to begin.

Ernie's Legacy, Early Express and Lektra Flame collided on the first turn.  Crash Reality galloped on Redefined on the first turn checking Redefined.  Augustus Dagloop raced wide on the first turn. Early Express and Lektra Flame collided approaching the home turn.

Beluga Diamond was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left split webbing and dislocated toe, a 28 day stand down period was imposed. Mr Peter Trim, the representative for Beluga Diamond was directed to take the greyhound for a follow up veterinary examination the next day as requested by the on track veterinarian.
