Steward's Report
Evie Louise was quick to begin. Riverbank Lark and Hurricane Elyse were slow to begin. Spirit Son and Evie Louise collided soon after the start. Riverbank Lark was checked off River Crazy approaching the first turn and collided wth Spirit Son. Riverbank Lark and Spirit Son collided approaching the first turn checking Riverbank Lark. Trinity Kid crossed out on the first turn causing Evie Louise to race wide. Spirit Son raced wide from the first turn to the home turn. River Crazy and Mia Crazy collided on the home turn checking River Crazy. River Crazy was checked off Mia Crazy in the home straight.
Spirit Son was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 7 it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Shovan the trainer of the greyhound Spirit Son. Stewards deemed the performance of Spirit Son unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Spirit Son must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.
