Steward's Report
Special Member and Banjo Barbie were quick to begin. Banjo Barbie and Marvellous Midge collided soon after the start. Premier Ching was checked off Special Member on the first turn and collided with Marvellous Midge. Special Member eased approaching the second turn checking Marvellous Midge and severely checking Premier Ching which lost considerable ground. Special Member was checked off Banjo Barbie on the home turn checking Marvellous Midge.
Premier Ching was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Hill the trainer of the greyhound Special Member regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Special Member with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Hill pleaded not guilty to the charge, Special Member was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
