Apropos checked off Regal Tycoon on the home turn, checking Big Tilly, Here Comes Tom and How's It Thunder. Miss Dangerwood, Don's Queen, Crackerjack Jim and Here Comes Tom raced wide entering the home straight. Big Tilly checked off Apropos in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

How's It Thunder raced wide throughout the event and was vetted. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left hind leg and left hind foot. A five-day stand down period was imposed.

Kiowa Kaema was quick to begin. Coyote and Flying Vulcan were slow to begin.

Last Bandito and Dyna Ianto collided soon after the start, checking Dyna Ianto. Last Bandito checked off Serendipity Gem approaching the first turn.

Serendipity Gem clipped the heels of My Territory on the first turn, checking Serendipity Gem, Dyna Ianto, Flying Vulcan and Last Bandito, and severely checking Lil' Tuff Chapta which stumbled and lost ground as a result. Lil' Tuff Chapta was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the right hind foot. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.

Rapid Rock was a late scratching at 3:18pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to right hip soreness. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

Blazing Lane and Last Outlaw were slow to begin.

Standing Bear checked off Capricorn Storm soon after the start. Blazing Lane checked off Last Outlaw approaching the first turn. Arizona checked off Capricorn Storm approaching the first turn. Standing Bear, Milly's Choice and Cosmic Kilby collided several times from the approach to the first turn to the home turn, checking all three greyhounds. Last Outlaw contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground as a result. Capricorn Storm raced wide on the home turn. Capricorn Storm and Milly's Choice raced wide in the home straight.

Another Blue checked off Dynamite Dozer approaching the first turn, checking Here's The Trump and causing Another Blue to race wide. Rex On checked off Crackerjack Cam on the first turn checking  Here's The Trump. Crackerjack Cam and Iona Express collided on the first turn checking Crackerjack Cam.   Another Blue and Fab Dream collided approaching the home turn, checking Another Blue. 

Mr David Graham,  trainer of Al's San Bow, declared a new weight of 32.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Al's San Bow last raced at 30.8kg 

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6), lure driver Mr S Courts did not act in any official capacity for this event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Cinnamon Cindy.

Bonnie Blue, Riverdale Danger and Blue Fortitude collided several times approaching the first turn, checking Bonnie Blue. Mia Shan, Bonnie Blue, Riverdale Danger and Blue Fortitude collided on the first turn, checking Bonnie Blue. Al's San Bow and Cinnamon Cindy collided on the home turn. Black Star Alert and Little Loony collided on the home turn.

Weiss Allen was a late scratching at 3:26pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Murray Collyer was fined the sum of $100.

Kilty Jewel was quick to begin.

Severus Grange and Wishing Angel collided soon after the start, checking Wishing Angel. Hard Luck Story checked off Kathy's Lady approaching the first turn. Hard Luck Story clipped the heels of Kathy's Lady approaching the home turn, checking Hard Luck Story. Wishing Angel checked off Fancy Talon on the home turn, checking Hard Luck Story. Severus Grange and Bush Princess collided entering the home straight. Fancy Talon checked off Kathy's Lady approaching the winning post.

Mr Paul Cusack, trainer of Ribacola, declared a new weight of 34.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ribacola last raced at 35.6kg.

Sublime Sull checked off Jockey Bale approaching the first turn. Lee I Am and Scott Cosmic collided on the home turn. Sublime Sull and Lee I Am collided in the home straight and both raced wide. Cosmic Chapta, Scott Cosmic and Ribacola collided approaching the winning post. Cosmic Chapta raced wide throughout the event.

Ninetymile Toby was slow to begin.

Cavalry Rose crossed to the rails approaching the first turn, checking Bush Hero, All Inn Layla, Miss Legality and Who's My Daddy. Miss Legality, Bush Hero and Who's My Daddy collided on the first turn. All Inn Layla cramped entering the home straight and pulled up as a result. Who's My Daddy and Ninetymile Toby raced wide in the home straight. Miss Legality crossed to the rail in the home straight. Blitzen Bell crossed to the outside in the home straight.

All Inn Layla was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a cramp of the left hind leg. and soreness to both shoulders and left sesamoid .A 14-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Joshua Formosa, the representative  the greyhound All Inn Layla. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

MEETING COMMENTS

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms A.Courts, the representative of Wicked Pedro, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Wicked Pedro last raced on 18 March 2017. Ms A.Courts stated that the greyhound had sustained a right metacarpal injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Wicked Pedro trialled over the 400m from box one, weight 35.3kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.87, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.75L. Wicked Pedro was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Far Welsh trialled over the 400m from box three, weight 29.4kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.87, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.5L. Far Welsh was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr S Collyer, the trainer of Gunmetal Diva, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Gunmetal Diva last raced on 20 February 2017. Mr Collyer stated that Gunmetal Diva was returning to race after an unsuccessful attempt at breeding and a subsequent change of kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Gunmetal Diva trialled over the 400m from box five, weight 27.6kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.87, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12.5L. Gunmetal Diva was cleared.
