Big Tilly and Crackerjack Jim were slow to begin. How's It Thunder was very slow to begin (4L).
Here Comes Tom checked off Regal Tycoon soon after the start. Apropos checked off Regal Tycoon on the first turn. Big Tilly clipped the heels of Here Comes Tom approaching the home turn. Apropos checked off Regal Tycoon on the home turn, checking Big Tilly, Here Comes Tom and How's It Thunder. Miss Dangerwood, Don's Queen, Crackerjack Jim and Here Comes Tom raced wide entering the home straight. Big Tilly checked off Apropos in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.
How's It Thunder raced wide throughout the event and was vetted. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left hind leg and left hind foot. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
