Avatar Maximus was slow to begin.
Dyna Kenta and Zulu Fred collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Hometown Lads and Naomi Allen collided on the first turn. Dyna Kenta and Stir Fry Shrimp collided approaching the home turn checking Stir Fry Shrimp. Dyna Kenta and Zulu Fred collided on the home turn. Hometown Lads and Kiss Me Nicki collided on the home turn. Hometown Lads and Avatar Maximus collided in the home straight. Naomi Allen and Zulu Fred collided in the home straight. Stir Fry Shrimp galloped on Hometown Lads approaching the winning post checking Stir Fry Shrimp which collided with Soft Music.
Stewards spoke to Mr W. Hartigan, the trainer of the greyhound Avatar Maximus regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Avatar Maximus was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained strain to the right pencil, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Avatar Maximus with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Hartigan pleaded guilty to the charge, Avatar Maximus was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
