A pre-race sample was taken from Claretown Happy.
Cast And Hungry and Mepunga Diego were slow to begin.
Miss Twerker and Midnight El collided soon at the start. Claretown Happy and Cast And Hungry collided approaching the first turn. Mepunga Diego faltered approaching the first turn and pulled up as a result. Miss Twerker and Midnight El collided several times in the home straight.
Mepunga Diego was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tarsal fracture to the left hock. A 21-day stand down period was imposed.
