Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Penberthy.
Belena Bold, Magic Gold and Penberthy were quick to begin. Riverdale Tarzan went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3L).
Orchard Road and Magic Gold collided soon after the start, checking Orchard Road. Penberthy and Belena Bold collided approaching the first turn. Storm Search and Blue Afro collided approaching the first turn. Penberthy and Heavy Pockets collided on the home turn.
MEETING COMMENTS:
Re-Vetted Greyhound - Kiss Me Razley was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling and was cleared to race.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr K Miller, the kennel representative for Koch, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Koch last raced on 31 March 2017. Mr Miller stated that the greyhound had been spelled. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Koch trialled over the 390m from box eight, weight 33.8kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 23.08, the greyhound won by a margin of 2..5L. Koch was cleared.
