A sample was taken from Larrikan Bozzie, the second place-getter in the event.

Mr Rodney Stephens, trainer of Mon Dasha, declared a new weight of 36.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Mon Dasha last raced at 34.2kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr Neville Vincent, the trainer of Mademoiselle Sox, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Mademoiselle Sox last raced on 14th June, 2017.  Mr. Vincent stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an extended spell.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Zelemar Leap became dislodged during the event.

Miss Twerker and Midnight El collided soon at the start. Claretown Happy and Cast And Hungry collided approaching the first turn. Mepunga Diego faltered approaching the first turn and pulled up as a result. Miss Twerker and Midnight El collided several times in the home straight.

Mepunga Diego was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tarsal fracture to the left hock. A 21-day stand down period was imposed.

Yaala was quick to begin. Thera Cee was slow to begin.

Re-Vetted Greyhound - Kiss Me Razley was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling and was cleared to race. 

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr K Miller, the kennel representative for Koch, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Koch last raced on 31 March 2017. Mr Miller stated that the greyhound had been spelled. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Koch trialled over the 390m from box eight, weight 33.8kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 23.08, the greyhound won by a margin of 2..5L. Koch was cleared.
