A pre-race sample was taken from Tears I'm Not. 

Scooby Boy, Bliss Street and Banjo Snoopy were slow to begin. Blackberry Nip and Fawntastic Kate collided soon after the start. Bliss Street and Banjo Snoopy collided approaching the first turn. Tears I'm Not and Blackberry Nip collided on the first turn. Ronray Legend galloped on the heels of Blackberry Nip on the first turn, checking Blackberry Nip and severely checking Ronray Legend and Banjo Snoopy. Scooby Boy and Bliss Street collided on the second turn. Scooby Boy, Bliss Street and Ronray Legend collided approaching the third turn, checking Bliss Street. Scooby Boy clipped the heels of Ronray Legend approaching the third turn, became unbalanced and fell, checking Ronray Legend and Bliss Street. 

Scooby Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right fore foot and injuries to the right monkey muscle, right pencil muscle and both trapezius muscles, a ten day stand down period was imposed. 

Banjo Snoopy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to both deltoid and both whip muscles, a seven day stand down period was imposed. 

Ronray Legend was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right wrist, a ten day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Reid, the trainer of the greyhound Ronray Legend regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the third turn.  Stewards deemed the performance of Ronray Legend unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Ronray Legend must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
