Whitford, the trainer of Bob's Cash regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bob's Cash last raced on 26th June 2017.Mr Whitford stated that the greyhound was returning to racing due the trainer being suspended. Mr Whitford also declared a new weight for Bob's Cash of 34.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Bob's Gift last raced at 33.1kgs.

News Print was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Spring Lass and Sharp Spur were quick to begin.  Zamazan was slow to begin.

My Girl Lois, Go Freddy Go and Spirited Diamond collided soon after the start.  Evie Lass crossed in soon after the start and collided with Zamazan.  Sharp Spur and Spirited Diamond collided on the first turn.  Zamazan checked off Evie Lass approaching the home turn.  Go Freddy Go and Wolfie's Sook collided in the home straight.

Nimble Lucy, Little Dynamo, Panda rebel and Woodleigh Sal collided soon after the start.  Little Dynamo, Panda Rebel and Woodleigh Sal collided on the first turn severely checking all three greyhounds.  Zipping Jake eased approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Howell, the trainer of the greyhound Zipping Jake regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Zipping Jake was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left wrist, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Zipping Jake with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Howell pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Jake was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Explosive Sky was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a severe right hind split webbing injury, a 28 day stand dow period was imposed.

Mr G. Graham trainer of Woodleigh Bond declared a new weight of 33.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Woodleigh Bond last raced at 31.5kgs.

Celtic Fire was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock and right triangle injuries, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers Removed) - Nosey trialled over the 400mtrs from box 8, weight 35.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 1stin a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.66, the greyhound won by a margin of 11 1/2 lengths. Nosey was Cleared to Race without Blinkers.
