Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to W. Alley, the trainer of Algablew, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Algablew last raced on 6/3/17. W. Alley stated that the greyhound had had an operation on a left front toe.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Crackerjack Boof and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 14:34 due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. G. Campbell was fined the sum of $100.
A pre race sample was taken from Tic Toc Toby.
Marcus Daking was quick to begin. Still In Play was slow to begin. Shi The One, Algablew and Hashtag Johnny collided soon after the start checking Algablew. Algablew and Tic Toc Toby collided on the home turn. Hashtag Johnny raced wide on the home turn. Algablew checked off the heels of Riverdale Banjo in the home straight. Riverdale Banjo and Marcus Daking collided several times in the home straight.
