Steward's Report
Rythym Taboo was a late scratching at 6.15pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr M. Chilcott was fined the sum of $100.
Stewards spoke to Mr A. Julian, the handler of Dreamtime Vision regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dreamtime Vision last raced on 1st June, 2017. Mr Julian stated that the greyhound was returning from a right wrist injury.
Mr B. Klemke, trainer of Storm The Sorrow declared a new weight of 27.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Storm the Sorrow last raced at 28.9kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Sheza Dragon.
Sheza Dragon crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Iona Cale, Storm The Sorrow and Billy Clover. Banjo Miss and Sheza Dragon collided approaching the first turn checking Banjo Miss. Storm The Sorrow checked off Iona Cape approaching the first turn. Silvagni Cubed and Sheza Dragon collided on the first turn checking Silvagni Cubed. Iona Cape checked off Banjo Miss on the first turn. Silvagni Cubed and Billy Clover collided approaching the home turn. Iona Cape contacted the running rail entering the home straight.
Iona Cape was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left flexor tendon injury and an abrasion to the left hind fibula and metatarsal area, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
