Aston Groucho and Stevie Gee collided on the first turn. Aston Groucho, Stevie Gee and Staunch As collided on the second turn checking Stevie Gee and Staunch As. Staunch As galloped on Amber's Romance on the third turn severely checking both greyhounds. Samonite checked off Kelly's Star approaching the home turn. Kelly's Star raced wide in the home straight.
