Steward's Report
Bliss Street and Ying Yang were slow to begin.
Go Go Pipsqueak and Our Rocket collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Ying Yang and Flying Vulcan crossed to the outside at the 300m mark. Go Go Pipsqueak and Our Rocket collided several times from the 300m mark to the 250m mark. Bliss Street and Solar On collided at the 100m mark.
Bliss Street was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right gracilis (back) muscle. A seven-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards issued a warning to Mr Gerry Orr, the trainer of Bliss Street, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr Grant Hammerstein, trainer of Solar On, and reminded him of his responsibilities to obey the directions of the starter.
